Architectural language of Op. series is applied to everyday objects such as coasters and soban (trays).
The wooden tops are crafted in ash with a traditional ink finish, while the supporting structures are produced through 3D printing with PLA, a biodegradable material derived from corn starch.
As with other works in the Op series, the parts are assembled through joinery, offered in a range of colors to enliven daily moments. When not in use, the pieces can be stacked like a tower, becoming small objects in their own right.
Through these familiar architectural elements, the work aims to bring surprise and delight into everyday life, and to invite viewers to see the ordinary world through new eyes.
Op. 시리즈의 건축적 언어를 일상의 오브제 — 코스터와 소반(트레이) — 으로 확장하였다.
상판은 물푸레나무에 전통적인 먹 마감으로 마무리되었으며, 이를 지지하는 구조는 옥수수 전분에서 추출한 생분해성 소재 PLA를 사용해 3D 프린팅으로 제작되었다.
Op. 시리즈의 다른 작업들과 마찬가지로 각 요소는 짜맞춤 방식으로 조립되며, 다양한 색상으로 제공되어 일상 속 작은 순간들을 풍요롭게 한다. 사용하지 않을 때에는 탑처럼 쌓아둘 수 있어, 그 자체로 하나의 작은 조형물로 존재한다.
익숙한 건축적 요소들을 통해, 이 작업은 일상 속에 작은 놀라움과 즐거움을 불러일으키고자 한다. 나아가 관람자로 하여금 익숙한 세계를 새로운 시선으로 바라보게 한다.
