The Korea Design Award (KDA) selects award-winning works in various fields based on commerciality, aesthetics, and innovation among the works presented by Korean designers throughout the year. Since 2022, the "Best Young Designer" field has been newly established and the final three have been selected and awarded.

We hope that it will be a new opportunity to present an importance of process for growth and development to people who are making new goals for 2024 and recognize a Korean-styled house, which has been only considered as historical material, as a place which is ‘trendy’ by exhibiting artworks of Seungbum Ma, Hanee Shin and Cheolho Hwang who are 3 designers that have received awards in 2023, in SEOCHON LOUNGE which is built in the modern hanok place.

* New Face : Exhibition with a meaning of exhibiting new point of view and creativity through artworks of rising young new designers who have received awards while xplaining modern changes of traditional Korean-styled house (hanok).

코리아디자인어워드(KDA)는 국내 디자이너들이 한 해동안 선보인 작업 중 상업성, 심미성, 혁신성을 바탕으로 다양한 분야의 수상작을 선정한다. 2022년부터는 ‘베스트 영 디자이너’ 분야를 신설하고 최종 3인을 선정하여 시상을 해오고 있다.

2023년 수상자인 마승범, 신하늬, 황철호 디자이너 3인의 작품을 현대 한옥으로 지어진 서촌라운지에서 전시함으로서 2024년에 새로운 목표를 세우고 있는 이들에게 성장과 발전을 위한 과정의 중요성을 전하는 동시에 역사 속 유물로 여겨지던 한옥을 ‘힙’한 곳으로 인식 할 수 있는 계기가 되길 바란다.

* New Face : 전통 한옥의 현대적인 변화를 설명하는 동시에 떠오르는 신예, 영 디자이너 수상자들의 작품을 통해 새로운 시각과 창의성을 선보인다는 의미의 전시.
